#49: The Family Was No Longer One Public Unit
After the divorce and custody changes, the Gosselins no longer appeared to the public as one united household. The family that had once been filmed around one kitchen table slowly became a story with different homes, different loyalties, and different versions of events.

That shift gave the later chapters a much more emotional tone. Viewers who remembered the children as tiny sextuplets and twins now saw a family divided into separate camps, with relationships changing in ways that felt far more complicated than television ever showed.
